Our personal favourite is their Lavender boards, available as a Noticeboard and as a Combo Board, with a pinboard section as well as a magnetic section which can also be written on. Both come with a wall fastening kit and push pins, with the combo board coming with magnets, an eraser and a pen as well. They are both 600x450mm in size, and will really stand out in your office / bedroom / kitchen.

Sooth your sole!

The Kensington Sole Soother Footrest Is perfect for giving you much better support and helping your posture. If you're a little on the small side this footrest gives you something to rest on giving you better circulation in your legs and taking some pressure off your feet. it tilts 0-20 degrees so you can adjust it to your own comfort. It's the brilliant Staedtler Digital Pen again! This pen records what you have written onto it's memory by the reader you put on the top of your page, and can even convert your handwriting into a word document! Very handy if you have to attend lots of meetings or lectures and don't want to have to re-type your notes!

It's amazing what you can do with Post-its!

We've just come across a fantastic video on YouTube called Deadline- post-it stop motion!  It really is amazing what people can do! We'd love to see what else you can do with your office stationery! Brother MFC-7860DW Mono Laser Printer

The Brother MFC multifunction printer series are filled with functions and facilities to help make your office run smoothly.
The MFC-7860DW can print black and white at a speed of up to 24 pages per minute at a resolution of 2400 x 600dpi.  It has a 32Mb internal memory and a high speed USB connection allowing you to print directly from a memory stick.  A 250 sheet paper capacity means that you don't have to fill up the paper cassette as often and larger print jobs can be produced without interuption.  A fax machine is standard with a 33,600bbs modem to make sending a fax as fast as possible therefore keeping the line free for incoming faxes.  The Brother MFC-7860DW is also wired and wireless network ready so you could do away with some of the cables around the Office.
Octopus also supply the TN2220 high yield toner cartridge for the MFC7860 printer.

Staedtler's amazing digital pen- no more copying notes onto your computer!

We've been excited about the Staedtler Digital Pen since we heard we were getting it in stock last year. It is a fantastic concept a will make a lot of people who are working and studying's life a lot easier! Staedtler themselves call it a 'breakthrough in electronic writing'.


The basic idea of the pen is that it records what you are writing onto your notepad, perfect if you are in a meeting of in a lecture. Not only does it keep your notes stored, it can also convert them into a word document at the touch of a button!


It works my simply attaching the digital receiver to the top of your notepad... and that's it, just start writing and the receiver will store up to 100 pages of notes for you!


It can be useful if you spend a lot of time drawing diagrams as well, as it will save them in their original format making it easy for you to pop them onto the computer.

Keep the germs away with a new air purifier

In the last week or so it seems the germs are well and truly spreading around as the temperature gets colder, with lots of airborne illnesses spreading. The last thing you want is for half of your work force to be off work with a cold or stomach upset, especially when it can be so easily prevented. 

At Octopus we supply Fellowes Air Purifiers, for example the Fellowes 300 Plasma Air purifier, for medium sized rooms up to 21 square meters with 3-5 people in. The purifier has a four stage purification system, which removes 99.97% of airborne pollutants! It has an intelligent auto mode for ease of use, so you don't have to worry about figuring out loads of settings as it uses built-in sensors to monitor the air quality of the room. The display panel is also very user friendly, and shows the machine performance and will tell you when the filters need replacing. (We also stock the filters for when you need them) The fan speed in the sensor adjusts to automatically keep the air purified.
