Lever Arch files are available in an assortment of sizes, from small A5 up to the giant A3 size.  By
Hermes Heavy Duty Lever Arch File
far the most common size though is the regular A4 size, which most businesses use for filing invoices, reports, or general paperwork that all companies tend to generate.  Almost all lever arch files are made in the upright format, however there are a small number of manufacturers that make an oblong version, where the paper is punched on the short edge.

The vast majority of lever arch files are made from a base material of compressed cardboard.  These are either covered with coloured paper for identification purposes or plastic which has the added benefit of them being wipe clean.

There is a new type of lever arch file available today made by a company called Hermes.  These are made from a heavy duty polypropylene and are ideal for people on the move or have to take files home on a regular basis.  Even if they get wet in the rain, they will not be damaged and can just be dried off.  See more here or call our office on 0161 429 8118 for more information.
